The Tampa Bay Academy of Hope
The Tampa Bay Academy of Hope is a community based organization that teaches young people
the skills to overcome the effects of poverty, violence, and negative influence
in their lives, as well as, how to tap into their inner strength to achieve
personal greatness. Founded by James Evans in 1996, the Tampa Bay Academy of
Hope has assisted over 850 youth with leadership training, counseling,
referrals, mentoring, job placement and scholarship development.
The Tampa Bay Academy of Hope helps youth from the most disenfranchised backgrounds through the dynamic Leadership Through Education model. This model provides the framework and foundation for innovative programs that empower youth to become self-sufficient in the face of any obstacle that life may present.
